For over four decades, Tama have proudly carried Superstar kits in their assortment. Instead of re-inventing the wheel, Tama take a successful formula and improve on it again and again with modern technology and hardware, but always with a nod to the original Superstar range. This Superstar Classic kit features classic T-shaped logos on the shells and small seventies-style lugs. This series is made of maple and offers a full sound that's suitable for any music style. This 5-piece shell set consists of a 22x16-inch bass drum, 10x7 and 12x8-inch toms, a 16x14-inch floor tom and a 14x6.5-inch snare. This set is finished in Gloss Garnet Lacebark Pine.

Modern shell hardware

An enhanced set of drums also requires enhanced technology, which we see in the Star Mount tom mount. With it, you can mount your toms with just four tension rods so there is as little contact with the shell as possible. This is also why the lugs have been kept small. Together, this ensures optimal resonance. The ball joint in the tom mount enables you to position the toms at any angle and the included Power Craft II drum heads make your kit sound great right off the bat. Because of the dampening rings in the bass drum head,s you won't even need any extra mufflers!
